CLASSROOM MATERIALS: 3 Ring Notebook, Notebook paper, Blue/black pens, Textbook cover.

ALL WORK SHOULD BE KEPT IN a HISTORY NOTEBOOK . Quizzes and Tests MAY be given as open notebook. In addition, a notebook check "could" count as a grade. Students are to keep ALL work in their History Notebook with Name, Date and Assignment title. Students should not throw work away. This History Notebook will prepare students for final exam. Credit will not be given for assignments with no name/ unclaimed.

START UP: Each student is expected to be seated in assigned seat at the end of the late bell. Students will begin start-up task from chalkboard immediately. The start-up activity will count as part of your class participation grade. These start-up questions are preparation and review question for class quizzes and tests.

Grading Policy: Students will receive a computerized grade sheet detailing all assignments and students' score at least once each quarter. This sheet will be sent home with student as an "Assignment" in order for parents to be kept up to date of grades in detail. If you do not see a grade report sheet BEFORE quarter 1 ends or mid-semester grades, contact Mrs. Pikus IMMEDIATELY!

MAKE-UP WORK POLICY: It is a student’s responsibility to find out what work has been missed and what assignments are to be completed. Check daily assignment baskets in back of room. Make-up work must be completed within 3 days of absent as stated by MHS Handbook. No late homework or assignments will be accepted past 1 week of abscence. Any late quizzes or tests will count as 1/2 credit.

EXTRA CREDIT: Extra credit will be offered several times a quarter (4-6). Students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of extra credit while it is offered. No extra credit will be offered within the week before grades are due.

Student Seating Arrangement: Class seats will change often during the semester to ensure each student a different and fresh perspective of the class. Students are to remain in assigned seats unless otherwise directed.

Be kind with your words and actions. * Keep your learning environment clean. * Remain seated until the teacher dismisses you.	* Prepared for class (notebook, text, pen, required assignments) * In seat at end of bell and beginning start up activity. * On task all class period. * Make progress on daily objective/goal. * DO NOT interfere or disrupt the learning process of another student or teacher.

Classroom Expectations

*    Always write the question. Always write the answer in a complete
   sentence.
* DO NOT PLAIGERIZE or COPY ANOTHER’s work or CHEAT. You    will not receive credit.
* Be responsible for your make-up work!
* START-UP QUICKLY - Take your assigned seat immediately and
begin start-up task on board! Follow Directions – see Start UP Poster
for help!
* Use Blue or Black pen or pencil – do not use colored pens unless a
project.
* DO NOT PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN
* Write your first & last name, date, block # and assignment title on all
assignments in right hand corner
